Overview of the webinar

Employee wellbeing is defined as the overall mental, physical, emotional and economic health of your employees. It is influenced by various factors such as their relationships with co-workers, the decisions they make, and the tools and resources they have access to as well as job-related factors like work hours, their pay and workplace safety.

For many employers, it is a critical component of a healthy working environment and organization and is connected to both employee engagement and a reduction if employee turnover. Companies that promote wellbeing make it easier for employees to manage stress levels while also maintaining a positive and productive environment. There is also compelling evidence that employers who promote employee well-being are also more successful than those that do not.

Why should you attend?

The Covid-19 Pandemic has made fundamental changes in how employees view their employer and, consequently, the employee-employer relationship. One of those changes has to do with the mental health of employees, commonly known as Employee Well-Being.

Employee well-being is no longer an employee benefit. Rather, well-being now is an employer’s opportunity to support employees in all aspects of their personal and work lives. It has expanded beyond physical well-being to include emotional, financial, social, and career wellness focusing on the individual employee as well as their entire family.

According to a recent employee wellbeing study, less than half of U.S. employees have a positive perception of their overall wellbeing. A major decline in employee wellbeing from early 2020 to mid-2022, can be definitively connected to the Covid-19 pandemic and efforts by employers to get employees to return to the office again. The concept of employee wellbeing is not new but has certainly developed much more attention as a result of the pandemic.
